STALLION SERVICE CONTRACT

CURRENT BREEDING SEASON _________ (season ends July 1st)

This certifies ___________________________(mare owner) has engaged one service the above named stallion for the mare ___________________________ REG. # ___________________________for the current breeding season. Of this amount a non-refundable booking fee of $200 is payable with this contract and is applied towards the breeding fee. The balance of the breeding fee plus all unpaid board, veterinarian expenses, and other expenses will be paid before my mare is picked up. (It is understood and agreed that if the mare has been bred, regardless of whether pronounced in foal or not, the breeding fee is due and payable.)

1. All mares shall be in healthy and sound breeding condition. Please be current on all vaccinations. Upon arrival of mare, it may be necessary for the mare owner to provide proof of EVA vaccination at least 21 days prior arrival or EVA tested negative within 10 days of arrival. All mares must be accompanied with a negative coggins test dated within 12 months of arrival date.
2. All mares shall be halter broken.
3. It is agreed that the mare and/or colt will be fed and cared for to the best of the Webb's judgment, and the mare owner will not be held responsible for any accident, injury or death to the stallion.
4. It is agreed that the stallion owners shall not be held responsible for any accident, injury, or death to any mares and/or colts.
5. The stallion owners will diligently try to settle any mares. If, however, any mare is not settled, the stallion owners will be held harmless, and assume no responsibility.
6. This contract guarantees a live foal from this mating. Should the foal not stand and suck, the mare owner will be entitled to a return breeding the following year and to the same mare (unless otherwise mutually agreed in writing.) This guarantee will apply only if stallion owners are notified within one (1) week from death of foal; this notice must be accompanied by a statement from a licensed veterinarian.
7. It is further agreed that if said stallion should die, or become unfit for service this contract shall become null and void, and any fees paid in advance will be returned.
8. I agree that registration of the colt that comes from this breeding is mare owners responsibility.
9. Stallion owners are hereby authorized to have a veterinarian and/or employees check, examine, treat and inseminate my mare for breeding and to perform such other services as deemed necessary at my expense.
